Kathryn Hughes es una académica y biógrafa británica, profesora emérita en la Universidad de East Anglia. Escribe para diversas revistas y es autora de los libros The Victorian Governess (1993), George Eliot: The Last Victorian (1998), The Short Life and Long Times of Mrs. Beeton (2005), Victorians Undone: Tales of the Flesh In the Age of Decorum (2017) y Catland: Feline Enchantment and the Making of the Modern World (2024).
